Islam Has Been Built On Five [Pillars]…

On the authority of Abdullah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) the son of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may ALLAH be pleased with him) who said:

I heard the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) say:
Islam has been built on five [pillars]:

1). Testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except ALLAH and that Muhammad (salALLAHU alaihi wa sallam) is the Messenger of ALLAH.
2). Establishing the salah (prayer).
3). Paying the zakat (obligatory charity).
4). Making the hajj (pilgrimage) to the House.
5). And fasting in Ramadhan.
